The best AI I have seen in a mobile poker game.

The World Poker Tournament has been around for a few years now. Finally the mobile game hits Europe. Texas Hold 'Em rules apply, note that this is not the 'no-limit' version.

The graphics are very good. You have an overhead view of the table and also some of the nice casino carpet. More importantly, all the cards are easy to read and all the menus and options are very legible.

The game does flow quite well and is quite enjoyable to play. You start off with $1500 and can either play in a tournament or 'free play'. The tournament is as you would expect, there is a $500 entry fee and the players are eliminated until a winner is declared. The blinds raise very quickly and games should not last too long. This tournament has a strong emphasis on luck. After only a few hands, all remaining players will be playing all-in as the blinds rise to ridiculous levels.

The free play option is much more playable as the blinds do not increase. However, players are never eliminated. If you manage to bankrupt a player, they will automatically transfer $1500 and the play continues.

Your actions are controlled by the 1, 2 and 3 buttons. Basically, 1 is defensive moves (check, call); 2 is aggressive (raise) and 3 is fold. Pretty straight forward really.

The overall theme is practice. With this poker game, there are no high scores or prizes to win, just play the game to hone your skills. With 'free play' you can select up to 6 players. For the true perfectionists, try playing against one player only. The tactics here are very different when playing lots of players.

The AI is very good, they will fall for bluffs but that doesn't mean they are suckers. To win, you will have to learn when to play and when to fold. The rest is all down to luck.
